Theoklis Zaoutis, MD, PhD is Professor of Pediatrics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Emeritus Professor of Pediatrics and Epidemiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, USA. Dr. Zaoutis is an internationally recognized expert in pediatric infectious diseases and epidemiology with over 360 publications. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he served on the Greek National Committee for COVID-19. He is former President of the National Public Health Organization of Greece.
He also has significant expertise in Pharmacoepidemiology having served as co-director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH, USA) training grant for pharmacoepidemiolgy and Associate Editor of the journal Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety.
